My world isn’t flat

Finally, I’ve moved on from flat surfaces and pushed forward a little more to my awesome future. Wrapped the synthetic skin around Cayce’s arm, my boyfriend. Although the line work didn’t turn out as great as the flat surface work, I know it’s only going to help in the future. Progress, progress, progress. Practice makes perfect, and my current situation is not my final destination. Working hard for the future I’m going to love. I can’t thank Cayce enough for all the care, love, and patience he’s given me over the past 6 months. Remember- to get somewhere, sacrifices most likely need to be made! Stay positive. I hope ya’ll have a happy Easter!

Hello, my name is Tristyn Dabrowski and I've decided to follow my dream and become a tattoo artist and also a traveler; this is my story. I grew up traveling with my parents since I was a kid, Florida, California, Jamaica. Naturally I loved it, and could never get enough. But we all grow up and have to start adult-ing at some point. After going to college for a year and 1/2 to be an Athletic Trainer, I realized that I was wasting my time doing something I didn't actually love, and I dropped out. I had no idea where I was going to go in life. Living with distraught parents who only wanted to see me succeed was frustrating when I had no idea what I wanted to do. The only thing my 20 year old mind knew at the time was that I wanted to travel, and the easiest way I knew to do that was to join the military. After joining the Air Force to serve actively, I got injured 3 weeks into Basic Military Training. After trying to recover for about a month and 1/2 and cleaning moldy dormitories on the 4th of July in Texas, they sent me back home to Erie, PA. Now, job-less, upset, and unable to do much after leg surgery, I found a passion that I've enjoyed since I was a child: art. I've always wanted to an aspiring artist, but I couldn't do it on my own. In my mind, tattooing is a modern, moveable, traveling, beautiful art. How could I not want to do this? I've decided to pursue a dream- to become a traveling tattoo artist. Currently I'm doing an apprenticeship and making ends meet as best as I can. Follow me on my journey to travel this beautiful world we live in and bring art and life to the people around us; because the earth without art is just "eh."
